The Frank family lived in Frankfurt. Father Otto and mother Edith had married in 1925. Margot Betty Frank was born in 1926 and her sister, Annelies Marie Frank, three years later. The diary that Anne wrote in hiding from the Nazis in Amsterdam made the family world-famous.

Anne Frank

Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929. She was given the autograph album that she used as a diary for her 13th birthday. Following her death, it gained worldwide significance as an important historical document.

Otto Frank

As the sole survivor of the Frank family, Otto Frank devoted his life until his death in 1980 to spreading the ideal of a more just world from his daughter Anne's diary.

Margot Frank

Margot Frank was three years older than her sister Anne. After the war she wanted to emigrate to the Palestine of the time.

Edith Frank

Edith Frank-Holländer was born in Aachen (Germany) on January 16, 1900. She was the wife of Otto Frank and the mother of Margot and Anne.
