The Warriors of Hope foundation / Romania and India

Projects in the Romanian towns Cluj and Arad and in the Indian metropolis Mumbai provide children and teenagers with future prospects, thus preventing them from being drawn into life on the streets. Family poverty drives these children onto the streets where they have to fight for survival by begging. The Warriors of Hope foundation helps destitute girls and boys by providing food packages, clothes, school materials and, where required, medical aid, as well as supporting them through personal, school-related, and family crises. This makes it possible for the children and teenagers to live in their families or with relatives and to attend school or receive job training. The foundation was established in Zurich in 1997. It has no religious or political affiliations.
