Frank Family Centre
On May 10, 1940, one month before Anne Frank celebrated her 11th birthday in Amsterdam, Nazi Germany invaded the neutral Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The roots of the family of Anne Frank can be traced back to the Judengasse (Jews' lane)in Frankfurt. The Stern and Cahn families, direct ancestors of Anne Frank, were among the inhabitants of this lane in the fifteenth century.
Otto and Edith Frank-Holländer married in Frankfurt in 1925. They had two daughters: Margot (1926) and Anne (1929).
The Frank family Centre in Frankfurt am Main, where Anne Frank was born, is part of the Jewish Museum of Frankfurt. The history of the family is documented there.
The family album shows snapshots from the life of the Frank family.
