On 21 March 2024 at the Château de Prangins, the opening of the exhibition «Anne Frank et la Suisse», endorsed by the Anne Frank Fonds Basel, took place. The Château de Prangins is the largest publicly accessible castle in Switzerland dating back to the 18th century and the domicile of the Swiss National Museum in the Romandy. The house now presents in a most informative and richly documented exhibition (after Zurich and Schwyz) also to a French speaking audience the close connection with Switzerland of Anne Frank’s family – including the family of Otto Frank’s sister Leni Elias, having emigrated to Switzerland –, from where the Diary of Anne Frank made its way to the world. The opening event will offer five short speeches and a reading of the Diary; the access is free. The exhibition will be shown in Prangins until 29 September of this year.
